Hustler Runs First Version of 39 Diesel Rockit

CALVERTON, NY– Hustler Powerboats is pleased to announce the completion of the first stage of prototype testing of the 39 Diesel Rockit.

Equipped with prototype Cummins MerCruiser Diesel 6.7, the Diesel Rockit hit 84 miles per hour. The motors, which were rated between 460 to 480 horsepower, will be taken out of the boat and be replaced with the new CMD 6.7 liter motors that are rated between 500 to 550 horsepower.

“We are very pleased with how the first version of the Diesel Rockit ran,” said Joe LoGiudice, President of Hustler Powerboats. “With the addition of between 140 to 180 horsepower, the 39 Diesel Rockit will become a 90+ mph boat which is unchartered territory for both Cummins MerCruiser Diesel and Hustler on two diesel motors.”

The MerCruiser Cummins Diesel motor will not be available until 2012, however Hustler will be taking orders on a first come basis. The evaluation boat and engine will be available for purchase, after testing, at a special discounted price with a full warranty.

CALVERTON, NY– Hustler Powerboats announced today that the Slingshot has been redesigned, and will now be called the Slingshot Reloaded.

The Slingshot Reloaded maintains the world-famous hull design that won the 1999 Powerboats Magazine “Powerboat of the Year” award, only making changes to the cockpit, dash, and windshield. The re-designed Slingshot will be unveiled at the 2011 Miami Boat show.

“We believe that the Slingshot Reloaded is the perfect entry-level boat for the   average boater without taking a hit on their wallet,” said Joe LoGiudice, President of Hustler Powerboats. “The redesigned cockpit, dash, and windshield will bring its design more in line of our Rockit Series, 50 Monster, and 41 Razor.”
