CALVERTON, NY– Hustler is pleased to announce the completion of the first stage of testing the 39 Rockit with Twin Young Performance 1100 EFI motors and Mercury Number 6 drives.
With Rolf Papke of Pro Technologies at the helm and Eddie Young of Young Performance gauging the engine conditions, the 39 Rockit hit a top speed of 132 mph before maximizing the prop.
“It was the fastest and most stable V-bottom I have ever driven as it made a two foot chop look like a piece of glass,” said Papke. “The boat was so tame and quiet that I did not need to run the boat with the trim tabs down at any point of driving it.”
“It was the most boring 132 MPH boat ride that I ever had,” added Young. “The boat did not do anything stupid– going straight through 2 foot chop in any direction. You could put a cup of coffee on the dash.”
The weather conditions while testing was at 62 degrees with 10 to 20 mph wind gusts blowing east to west along with a two foot chop in the water. The speed was achieved on 3/4 throttle, 17 inch by 35 degrees pitch Hering props at 6,000 RPM’s. “This boat will achieve 140 mph with the proper props,” said Joe LoGiudice, the owner of Hustler Powerboats. “We are looking forward to getting this boat dialed in.”
The 39 Rockit was designed for people looking to achieve 110+ mph safely without the worries of chine walking or porpoising. Prices start at $498,934 depending on power and drive choice.

CALVERTON, NY– Hustler Powerboats announced today that the Slingshot has been redesigned, and will now be called the Slingshot Reloaded.
The Slingshot Reloaded maintains the world-famous hull design that won the 1999 Powerboats Magazine “Powerboat of the Year” award, only making changes to the cockpit, dash, and windshield. The re-designed Slingshot will be unveiled at the 2011 Miami Boat show.
“We believe that the Slingshot Reloaded is the perfect entry-level boat for the average boater without taking a hit on their wallet,” said Joe LoGiudice, President of Hustler Powerboats. “The redesigned cockpit, dash, and windshield will bring its design more in line of our Rockit Series, 50 Monster, and 41 Razor.”
